Cubs in a dismal losing streak

The Cubs' offense is pathetic. I had a little bit of optimism at the beginning of the season, but after this past week I've lost faith. The Cubs have lost 6 of their last 7 games. The scores? 16-2, 9-0, 8-0, 5-1, 6-0, 1-0. The lone game they managed to win was by a score of 2-1. Not exactly a stellar offense. They need to turn things around right now. Pitching is of no use at all if they can't score runs. Last night in San Diego they held the Padres scoreless for 9 innings. But they couldn't produce a single run, and they lost in extra innings. At least the Phillies are doing better. They are on a 6 game winning streak.

Tonight is the big game 7 between the Suns and the Lakers. I, of course, will not be watching because it's on cable. It also won't start until after my bedtime. I am very disappointed that the NBA insists on starting their games so late. Tonight's game doesn't really matter since it's an early round game, but each game in the finals is set to start at 9pm. I'm definitely interested in watching the NBA finals, but there is no way I can stay up that late. 9pm is the time I usually go to bed. Even World Series games start at 8. For now I'll have to resort to reading about the games on the internet the following morning.
