Phillies open playoffs with a win

The Phillies began playoff action this afternoon against the Rockies at home, in a game that started at 2:37pm. Not a very convenient time for baseball fans who have to work, but apparently TV dictates the schedule, and somebody decided that the Phillies-Rockies matchup was going to be the least interesting of all the games. I was unable to listen to the play-by-play, but I did follow online whenever I could. Cliff Lee was the starting pitcher for the Phils, and he did an excellent job, shutting down the Rockies until the 9th inning and getting a complete game victory. The Phillies gave him some run support by scoring 5 runs in the middle innings, and that was the game. It was an impressive performance by all accounts. Game 2 will be played tomorrow; same time, same place.
